What is Tesamorelin?

Tesamorelin is a peptide. A peptide is a very small protein. This one is made in a lab.

It is a copy of a body signal called GHRH. GHRH is short for growth hormone releasing hormone. That signal tells the body to release its own growth hormone, or GH.

It comes as a dry powder in a vial. A vial is a small glass bottle with a rubber top.

What researchers study it for

• Growth hormone release. Labs study how it prompts GH release in lab models.
• Belly fat in studies. It was first made to study visceral fat, the fat deep in the belly.
• Fat breakdown, or lipolysis. Studies look at how it acts on fat breakdown, called lipolysis.
• IGF-1 levels in studies. Notes say it does not spike IGF-1 the way full HGH can.
• Dosing before bed. It is given before bed, since GH comes in pulses at night.

What you get
