What is Hexarelin?
Hexarelin is a lab-made peptide from the GHRP (growth hormone-releasing peptide) family.
It acts on ghrelin receptors on cells. Researchers study how this affects the release of growth hormone (GH) from the pituitary gland, a small gland at the base of the brain.
What researchers study it for
- Growth hormone release. Labs study how it triggers GH release from the pituitary gland.
- Muscle tissue. Studies look at its effect on compound properties and strength in lab models.
- Sleep patterns. Some studies note changes in sleep quality during research use.
- Joint tissue. Researchers study its effect on joints and connective tissue.
- Hormone levels. At higher doses, studies look at its effect on two other hormones, cortisol and prolactin.
