What is MK-677?
MK-677 is also called Ibutamoren. It comes as a tablet, not an injection.
MK-677 is a growth hormone secretagogue. A secretagogue is a compound that triggers a hormone to be released. It acts like ghrelin, a hormone that binds to the ghrelin receptor in the brain.
MK-677 is not a SARM. A SARM is a selective androgen receptor modulator, a different type of compound. MK-677 works through the ghrelin receptor instead.
What researchers study it for
- Growth hormone release. Researchers study how it raises GH (growth hormone) and IGF-1 levels.
- Ghrelin receptor activity. Studies look at how it binds to the ghrelin receptor in the brain.
- Muscle tissue. Labs study how higher GH and IGF-1 levels affect muscle cells.
- Fat breakdown. Researchers study its effect on fat oxidation. That is how the body breaks down fat for energy.
- Sleep patterns. Some studies also look at how it affects sleep patterns.
What you get
One bottle of 60 tablets. Each tablet holds 10 mg of MK-677.
How to store it
Keep the tablets in a cool, dry place, away from light.
