What is Cardarine (GW501516)?
Cardarine, code name GW501516, is a lab compound that comes as a tablet.
GlaxoSmithKline and Ligand Pharmaceuticals developed it in the 1990s, but it was later dropped from drug work after long-term animal studies raised concerns.
People often group it with SARMs, but it is not one, since it acts on PPAR-delta, a receptor found on cells.
What researchers study it for
- How it switches PPAR-delta. Labs study how it turns on the PPAR-delta receptor in cells.
- Burning fat for fuel. Studies look at how cells break down fatty acids for fuel.
- Sugar uptake in muscle. Labs measure how muscle cells take up glucose.
- Endurance in lab models. Studies track endurance and changes in muscle fibre in lab models.
What you get
One bottle of 60 tablets, each holding 10 mg of Cardarine. Notes say it does not act on androgen receptors, but it is often studied alongside SARMs such as Ostarine (MK-2866), Andarine (S4), LGD-4033 or RAD-140.
How to store it
Keep the bottle in a cool, dry place, away from direct light.
Sold for laboratory research only. Not for human consumption.
